General Information

We offer training, counseling and consulting services to Illinois businesses at no cost. However, some classes, workshops, & seminars may have a minimal charge and reimbursement is often required for copied materials.

Our clients range from start-up through existing businesses that seek ways to improve, develop or finance their organizations.

Drawing on in-house expertise, government and academic resources, and the commitment of many business service providers in the private sector, the Kaskaskia College-ISBDC is the preferred source for small business support in the region.

The Kaskaskia College-ISBDC's primary function is to deliver one-on-one counseling, research, and referral for individuals creating or expanding their business idea and plan. Special assistance is provided for, but not limited to the following topics:
  • Business Plan Development
  • Marketing Assessments
  • Cost Analysis
  • Financial Analysis
  • Capital Resources, Financial Packaging & Forecasting
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping
  • Minority Enterprise Development
  • Female-Owned Business Development
  • Referral to Public, Private and Technical Resources
  • Home Based Business

Illinois Small Business Development Center at Kaskaskia College has been partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration in partnership with the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity and Kaskaskia College as a service to Illinois small businesses. All SBA programs are extended to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis.
